| UPCOMING NEW MEMBER CLASSES We will be having two more Inquirers Classes
this year. Each class will meet weekly for four weeks, beginning at
9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings during the church school
hour. Coffee will be available in the room starting at 9:30 a.m.
Children are invited to participate in church school class for their
age. Our church nursery is available for infants through two-year old
children from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m..
The dates for the upcoming classes are as follows: Spring Class - April 13, 20, 27 and May 4, 2008 Fall Class - October 12, 19, 26 and November 2, 2008 Each week the class will discuss in order: Week 1: Welcome, Faith formation and church tour Week 2: Who Are Presbyterians?? Learn more about finding your niche at First & Calvary Week 3: Worship, Sacraments and Membership Questions Week 4: Meet with members of Session and confirm your Affirmation of Faith and Be welcomed at either of the 11:00 a.m. Worship Services. INVITATION TO MEMBERSHIP First & Calvary Presbyterian Church invites you to commit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ in Christian Discipleship and to become a member of this fellowship. You may do this by meeting with the Session (elders and pastors) to express your faith in Christ in one of the following ways: By Profession of Faith This means you receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and sincerely promise to live for Him. Previous baptism is accounted valid or the Sacrament of Baptism may be administered. By Transfer of Membership Request the pastor to write your former church for a certificate or "letter" of transfer. By Reaffirmation of Faith You have been long inactive or separated from the church for some time. We invite you to our new member classes, held in the Nave, to find out about becoming a member of the church of Jesus Christ.
